Longitudinally welded tubes are obtained from steel strip by cold shaping, welding and external calibration.
Strip with different surface finishes may be used depending on the use or application of the product and different shapes are manufactured. These tubes are used where dimensional precision and a good surface finish are required. Grupo Condesa manufactures these tubes in different materials, such as cold, sendzimir galvanising, galvanising by means of immersion in molten zinc, pickling, aluminising, and stainless (in this last case, we have a specific catalogue) .
Precision tubes are supplied with BKM finish (welded and sized), GBK (annealed) and NBK (normalised) (see section "product supply options"). With regard to the geometric forms, tubes may be round, square, rectangular, oval, semi-oval, elliptical and special, among others.
The most common applications are in the furniture and camping industries, the auxiliary automobile industry, carpentry, lock-making, structural elements, the construction of machinery and equipment, greenhouses, etc.
